About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Front End Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in improving the scalability of our quiz and SKU systems, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.
How You'll Make an Impact:

Front-End Optimization and User Experience:
- Improve the front-end performance and responsiveness of our quiz system, ensuring an engaging and smooth experience for users.
- Collaborate closely with design and product teams to implement visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest front-end frameworks and technologies to continuously refine our user experience.

Refactor Quiz for Scalability:
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize the quiz system for improved performance and handling of increased traffic.
- Implement code changes and updates to ensure stability and efficiency.

Refactor SKU Data for Scalability:
- Redesign and refine the SKU data structure for better handling of large datasets and improved search/retrieval capabilities.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to achieve optimal efficiency and performance.

Collaborate Across Projects:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of other assigned projects.
- Participate in code reviews, front-end architecture decisions, and knowledge-sharing within the team.
We're Excited About Your:
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks like React or Vue.js).
- Experience with front-end performance optimization, accessibility best practices, and responsive design.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and secure code across both front-end and back-end.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on delivering user-centered solutions.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- A passion for learning and staying ahead of the curve in front-end development trends and technologies.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with performance optimization techniques across both front-end and back-end.
- Familiarity with specific technologies used in our environment (please inquire).
Pay Transparency:
We can’t quantify everything we think you’ll love about working at Thesis, from the exciting projects you’ll work on, to the smart and humble team you’ll get to work with, and our supportive and inclusive culture. That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and equity. The base salary hiring range for this position is $50-$75/hour, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
