Automated Test Engineer
The Swift Group is looking for an experienced Automated Test Engineer to join an enterprise software development team supporting testing and development of test cases for the enterprise application. This position is located in Herndon, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage knowledge of modern automated testing methodologies and technologies
- Responsible for manual testing when the coding of an automated solution is impractical or not desirable
- As the technology stack expands and grows, the individual may be required to work with the application developers to support performance/load testing to fully evaluate the application capabilities
- Creating automated test scripts based on the functional requirement to run tests on developed software applications
- Review and analyze results for integration, regression, performance, and user testing activities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation test suites using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Postman, and Junit / TestNG for cross-browser testing
- Experience with Angular UI, Node.js, and Python programming languages to write automation test scripts and develop test frameworks
- Experience with SQL for data validation in the database (Postgres) during testing
- Experience working in a CI/CD DevSecOps environment with Jira, Confluence and Jenkins
- Experience generating voluminous test data for application testing using tools like Faker.js
- Must be able to evaluate developer assignments, independently understand requirements, and engineer tests to evaluate best path scenario as well as probe for possible failure conditions
- Expertise in writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios
- Experience in accessibility testing and using tools like Jaws
- Experience with established version control (GitHub) practices and coding standards
- Demonstrated history with manual and automated test processes
- Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment
- Ensure the QA and testing approach references all known vulnerabilities and best practices
- Conduct and report testing using a repeatable process based on industry best practices
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening.
