Job Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging lessons in English for elementary level mathematics to our students using Think Academy curriculum
- Grade: PreK-G6
- Language: English
- Format: In-person
- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that fosters a love of mathematics among a class of about 8-16 students
- Identify and address individual learning needs by providing personalized assistance to students
- Homework grading as well as other related key teaching services
- Maintain open and proactive communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, achievements, and areas of concern
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences/meetings as needed to discuss student performance
- Foster a safe and respectful learning atmosphere for all students
- Become education specialist in education field and support daily business operation as in marketing and business growth in the bay area
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Open to all majors- we provide training and professional growth!
- Strong knowledge and understanding of math concepts and problem-solving techniques.
- Prior math teaching or general teaching experience is not required, but it is highly preferred.
- Passionate about teaching and education industry, with a mission to provide better education to promote social development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes.
- Can commit to at least one whole semester teaching without interruption (Spring semester: Jan - May; Summer: June - Aug; Fall semester: Aug - Dec)
- Responsible, reliable, and a team player to effectively collaborate with other teachers and staff.
- Patient, empathetic, and motivated to inspire students.
- Available and willing to work during weekday later afternoon and weekends
- You must be authorized to work in the United States
- You must be able to commute to teach in-person at one of our San Jose Cupertino Campuses
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin highly preferred
