Job Title: General Maintenance Worker  

Work Location: Dededo, Guam  

Labor Category: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | CBA 

Pay Rate: $21.47 per hour

Health & Welfare: $7.50 per hour

About the Role

This position will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and facility systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across a variety of basic trades, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, and HVAC.
• Repair, replace, and maintain building fixtures and components, including sinks, toilets, lighting fixtures, switches, doors, locks, windows, flooring, and other structural elements.
• Patch, repair, and paint walls and other surfaces as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment, machinery, and HVAC systems.
• Assist with Real Property Inventory activities and maintain accurate information on assigned facilities, equipment, and assets.
• Identify maintenance needs and complete work in a timely manner while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Follow company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable government regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of base operations and mission requirements.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 1–2 years of related maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades experience.
• Basic knowledge of general building maintenance, repair, and facility systems.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be eligible to access government worksites and successfully complete required background and drug/alcohol screenings.
• Must be available to work varied schedules, including weekends, holidays, alternate and extended shifts, and on-call assignments as required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving re

Physical Demands & Work Environment: 

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching for extended periods.
• Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shifts when necessary to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
• Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and weather environments.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various occupational hazards while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
