About the role

As a Product Manager within our New Hiring Experiences pillar, you’ll help shape and deliver innovative products and workflows that empower professionals on our platform to be set up for success to help serve the needs of homeowners. You’ll take ownership of high‑impact initiatives and drive them from concept to launch, ensuring they align with our broader product vision.

  • Define and analyze key metrics to inform decision‑making and measure success.
  • Conduct user research and experiments to scope and prioritize product initiatives.
  • Coordinate within your team and among teams at Thumbtack to ensure understanding of and alignment around projects.
  • Manage end‑to‑end execution, translating ambiguous opportunities into shipped features and iterating quickly based on feedback.
  • Pioneer how we use AI/ML in both our products and our ways of working—driving exploration of emerging technologies and leading the charge in applying them responsibly to elevate our marketplace.

In order to be successful, you must bring

  • 3-5 years of product management or equivalent experience, building web/mobile products in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong product sense and deep empathy for small‑business professionals (B2B) - with experience building for two-sided marketplaces strongly preferred
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly, thoughtfully adjusting plans and priorities as new insights emerge.
  • Analytical skills and comfort working with metrics and data to assess performance and inform priorities.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • AI fluency and literacy: you stay current with AI/ML technologies, have experience working with AI features or tools, and are enthusiastic about applying them to solve user problems.
