ABOUT THE TEAM
The Data Privacy team is a unit within the Legal team of Tide and consists of four professionals who work remotely across different countries and time zones.
The team is crossfunctional and works directly with various parts of the business providing hands-on legal advice on data protection and privacy. By joining the Tide Privacy team, you'll gain a unique opportunity to learn how an in-house privacy team supports a rapidly scaling global company. You’ll be provided with mentorship and you’ll have the chance to meet and network with other seasoned legal professionals in the fintech industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Admin support on day-to-day data protection and privacy operations

- Processing and logging data subject requests on a daily basis
- Helping with extracting monthly risk metrics and analysing them for trends
- Helping member-facing teams with addressing privacy queries and complaints by our customers
- Drafting and updating privacy policies, data retention policies, and employee guidelines
- Helping with drafting, reviewing and negotiating contractual agreements (data processing agreements, data sharing agreements, SCC) with Tide vendors and partners
- Supporting the privacy training and awareness program at Tide

- Analysing the training needs of internal departments
- Enriching the training materials with infographics
- Maintaining format consistency
- Performing legal research and case law analyses

- Supporting gap analyses on upcoming or existing laws and regulations
- Identifying new legislative privacy requirements in the countries where Tide operates
- Collecting information about Industry and competitor best practices in privacy and data protection
- Electronic Marketing Compliance

- Review of direct marketing campaigns to ensure compliance with electronic marketing rules
- Review of website cookie practices
- Risk management
- Support the performance of Data Protection Impact Assessments
- Identify privacy risks in Tide products, services, and business operations.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Tide is seeking someone who has completed at least their first year of law studies and is keen to learn more about the world of data protection and privacy. The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent grades of their first and second year exams
- Profound interest in privacy
- Good computer skills (Google Workspace, Excel, MS Word, etc)
