About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves managing accounts payable transactions, performing bank reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, maintaining compliance with internal controls, supporting month-end closing activities and managing the finance inbox. The ideal candidate will have some experience working in an accounts payable function, minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment, hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, and be passionate about their career and eager to learn.
As Senior Finance Operation Analyst you’ll be:
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle for various companies in our group - from receipt of invoices to payment, including matching, batching, coding, posting, ensuring accurate coding and identifying errors
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and account reconciliations
- Processing bank transactions in various currencies, ensuring accurate allocation of payments and receipts
- Preparing reports as required on a regular basis
- Maintaining the finance inboxes for different companies, ensuring all communications are processed properly, and stakeholders are communicated too promptly in a friendly and effective manner
- Resolving problems with vendors, reconciling vendor statements to our ledger
- Identifying opportunities for enhancements in accounts payable and receivable processes, contributing to the organisation’s continuous improvement efforts and operational efficiencies.
- Supporting the team with any ad hoc tasks and requests from the line manager
What makes you a great fit:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP would be considered as a strong advantage) and proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Exposure to IFRS
