Founded in 2018 in Dublin, Tines is a smart, secure workflow platform designed to automate any manual task, regardless of complexity. By automating workflows, Tines empowers frontline teams to reduce monotonous, manual work and free up valuable time and resources.

Tines is an integrator across your entire stack - if it offers an API, Tines connects with it. Having firmly established Tines as the de-facto automation platform for cybersecurity teams, we’re expanding horizontally to IT, Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams. Tines was built for everyone, delivering transformative and innovative enterprise software to industry leaders like Canva, Intercom, Databricks, Mars and Reddit.

We’re excited about what we’re doing and what’s to come, and we’re looking for others who can lead by our values of Simplicity, Speed, and Soundness. Because Tines is about delivering exceptional customer experiences, while creating a company culture that nurtures individual curiosity, growth, and integrity.

Design has been a part of Tines’ story since it was founded, and great design plays a indispensable role in our shared success. Designers at Tines are trusted and relied upon to deliver inventive work to a high standard, and we are supported in doing so.

  • Developing your own practice through experience and training.
  • Staying up to date with industry developments and creative production approaches and techniques.
  • Research, idea generation and aesthetic development in projects.
  • Developing new proficiencies as a project requires it.
  • Seeking direction when needed to ensure the work is in on the right track.
  • Clear proactive communication to stakeholders and colleagues.

Activities

  • Working from a script or from an existing visual asset, to storyboard, refine, create and edit motion design.
  • Working with partners in marketing and design to shape our live action video output.
  • Graphic design: layout and typography as they apply to a diverse set of outputs.
  • Working creatively within existing brand guidelines.
  • Working proactively under your own initiative or as part of the design team.
  • Contributing to the wider design team in critique sessions.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the design team.
  • Collaborating with outside suppliers and vendors.
  • Planning and prioritisation in your own tasks.

Requirements

  • You love design and care deeply about the quality of your work. You’re never satisfied with the status quo.
  • Experience working in a design team, on motion design and brand-related motion projects.
  • Experience with animation tools: After Effects, Adobe Animate, Premiere Pro and others.
  • Proven skills in 2D animation, motion graphics, design, and typography.
  • Experience with best practice motion graphics creation processes.
  • You’re self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative.
  • You can be trusted that you’ll do what you say you will and deliver on time.
  • Skilled in the core tools, able to choose the right one for each task.
  • Able to keep up with a fast pace and quick turn over of work.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects.
Things we ask of our designers
  • Ask plenty of questions No question is wrong, or misplaced. Always bring your ideas here, openly and safely.
  • Consider context Think about your work in the broadest way possible - how will it strengthen the brand, or move it forward? What else is it connected to?
  • Be opinionated but open to change Bring a point of view but be ready to change that. We have an amazing group of colleagues and customers who provide feedback on a regular basis.
  • Collaboration Foster a collaborative design process. Share your work early and often. Seek out regular feedback from stakeholders and the wider design team. Present your work in updates and critiques. Filter and prioritise any feedback for a successful outcome.

At Tines, we’re all about trying new things and taking the leap. If you’re second-guessing your application, we hope you’ll trust your gut and take the leap too!
