We are looking for a skilled and passionate web designer and developer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our web properties: primarily working on Tines.com. You will create useful, beautiful, high-performance digital experiences for our customers, prospects and team.

Design has been a part of Tines’ story since it was founded, and great design plays a indispensable role in our shared success. Designers at Tines are trusted and relied upon to deliver inventive work to a high standard, and we are supported in doing so.

In this role, you’ll work as part of the brand studio, part of the wider design team which includes product designers. You’ll report to the creative director. You will be involved in a wide range of projects, from start to finish and as a contributor. Your direct colleagues and team will be designers and design engineers, and you’ll be collaborating closely with colleagues in marketing.

This is a remote or semi-remote position, with the employee required to be located in Ireland. (You will have access to our Dublin city centre office).

Activities

  • Collaborate with designers and marketers to find opportunities for new pages and sections on our website
  • Work with designers and engineers to build them
  • Seek areas to improve the existing website, including the marketing site, the library, docs and more
  • Maintain and improve the infrastructure of the website, using existing frameworks and investigating new ones
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring fast and efficient web applications
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards
  • Actively provide feedback for designs from engineering perspective
  • Identify key areas on the site and build tests to improve reliability

Experience

We are especially eager to hear from individuals who have:

  • Experience creating elegant, performant – websites
  • A portfolio of marketing sites, and creative web-based projects
  • An affinity for data and familiarity with leading analytics and experimentation tools such as Full Story, Optimizely
  • A track record of collaboration: with creative, marketing and technical teams
  • Front-end: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and modern front-end technologies including React, Sass, Next.js or equivalent frameworks.
  • Back-end: Proficiency with server-side languages and frameworks, primarily Node.js.

Requirements

  • Great eye for design and a good understanding of fundamental design principles, with a focus on typography
  • Self starter with excellent communication and project management skills
  • Solid understanding of TypeScript, React
  • Expert in CSS / Sass

  • Collaboration Foster a collaborative design process. Share your work early and often. Seek out regular feedback from stakeholders and the wider design team. Present your work in updates and critiques. Filter and prioritise any feedback for a successful outcome.
