Meet the Team:
The Platform Enablement team provides hardware/software tooling as an essential building block for the integration and validation of the software for our automated trucks. The team is responsible for designing, building and maintaining HIL test platforms, expanding test capabilities, and developing tools that benefit the overall integration of the truck platform.
What you'll do:
The Platform Enablement Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for guiding the development of the software stack that manages the multiple HIL platforms. They will also interface with the various software teams to develop integration software tools.
- Develop Software that deploys and controls the different HiL benches.
- Participate in roadmap discussions to match SW and HW capabilities of the HiL benches, navigating complex network topologies.
- Plan SW releases and deployments that fit the roadmap.
- Execute full software development lifecycle activities using C++ and Python in an Agile Linux environment.
- Provide Technical Mentoring within Software Team
- Help interpret user requirements and specifications to create a proper SW architecture.
- Interact with users and stakeholders.
- Perform problem-solving activities during design, prototypes, and production, driving root cause analysis and problem resolutions.
- Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Electrical/Communication Engineering or engineering equivalent with 6+ years of relevant industry experience OR a master's degree with 4+ years of experience.
- Strong foundation in Software Engineering and best practices.
- Strong C++, Python and bash programming skills.
- Strong experience with Bazel build environments.
- Strong experience in network design and high-speed data transfer systems.
- Experience in setting up production-intent software development environments, with attention to unit testing and meticulous code documentation/reviews.
- Experience building and deploying Python wheels.
- Experience with docker to deploy self-contained solutions.
- Experience writing components from scratch, architecture, design and test
- Ability to proactively mentor less experienced developers
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Ability to setup and maintain stack unit testing

US Pay Range
$160,800 - $193,000 USD
