What will you bring to the team.
The QA Engineering Manager / Software Solution Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless software solutions for customers, maintaining quality standards through:
- Collaboration with the Software Quality Director to establish strategic direction and best practices.
- Engagement with stakeholders, including Customers, Product Owners, and Program Managers.
- Development of team members into skilled test engineers.
- Leveraging a background in software quality and testing, strong leadership, and a customer-centric mindset.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in addition to team leadership. Responsible for processes employees execute. Ability to lead multiple missions with employees across the globe and resolve cross functional issues. Drive Interactions with Sr. Level Executives on critical initiatives for multiple missions across many disciplines. This position requires extensive people management experience, proven knowledge of software quality practices / processes and program management skills to drive cross-functional team activities with the understanding of requirements and business drivers for the new products and solutions.
What you will be doing:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team for optimal performance.
- Customer Advocacy: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer escalated issues, driving product improvements.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance support and testing processes.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee testing processes for efficient delivery of high-quality products.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs aligned with organizational goals. Data Driven: Use data for decision-making and adherence to SLAs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of:
- BS in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
- Experience running a quality system using Verification and Validation processes.
- 3-5 years in senior management within software support or quality assurance.
- 3-5 years in data driven management.
- +8 years of experience in software test engineering, quality assurance, and/or solution support.
- Ability to work with top customer accounts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience delivering and supporting business to business or business to customer software.
- Knowledge of software development, support, and testing processes.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Advanced English level.
Nice to have:
- POS (Point of Sale) industry experience.
- Combined hardware device / software testing or support experience, experience within a variety of testing focus areas including system performance.
- Project management experience.
