Sr. Software Architect Manager

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Technical Architects to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to engage directly with clients to deliver innovative solutions. This role will involve managing a team of technical architects, guiding them toward excellence, and fostering seamless collaboration between technical teams and clients. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical architects, ensuring their professional growth, skill development, and alignment with company goals. 
  • Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical guidance and architectural solutions, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends. 
  • Client Engagement: Act as a technical liaison with clients, understanding their requirements, presenting solutions, and building strong, lasting relationships. 
  • Project Oversight: Oversee architectural designs and ensure alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility. 
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical strategies, roadmaps, and best practices. 
  • Problem Solving: Address complex technical challenges proactively and ensure timely resolution. 
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure technical deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and performance. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 12+ years in Enterprise technical architecture or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. 
  • 8+ years leading architecture review boards, and system architectures.
  • At least 8 years' experience managing senior engineers or architects 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in architectural frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), and modern software development practices (including microservices). 
  • Client-Facing Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities with experience presenting technical solutions to clients. 
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, ensuring collaboration, growth and productivity. 
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset for tackling technical challenges.
