Director, Security Suite Product Management

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Director, Security Suite Product Management that will be a business and product leader for the TGCS Security Suite portfolio, including Loss Prevention, Produce Recognition, video/computer vision solutions, vision analytics, and future AI-enabled security and store-operations use cases. The role owns portfolio strategy, roadmap, prioritization, commercialization, lifecycle, and business performance.

This leader will build deep retailer understanding and translate customer problems and market opportunities into differentiated products and measurable outcomes. The role is expected to be highly hands-on: leading discovery, rapidly validating concepts and prototypes, making clear product trade-offs, and moving successful ideas from validation through commercialization and scale.

The Director leads the Security Suite Product Management team and works closely with Engineering, Sales, Technical Marketing, Innovation, Professional Services, Customer Success, Finance, and strategic partners. Product owns the customer problem, product outcome, scope, prioritization, pricing/packaging, and product acceptance. Engineering owns technical architecture, engineering execution, quality, and delivery commitments.

This is a product and business leadership role. It does not own software engineering, production/SaaS operations, implementation delivery, or Professional Services.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy & Business Ownership

  • Own the Security Suite vision, portfolio strategy, roadmap, investment priorities and lifecycle across Loss Prevention, Produce Recognition, computer vision/video security, vision analytics and new use cases.
  • Own portfolio business plans and performance across revenue, ARR, adoption, margin, pipeline, pricing/packaging and investment.
  • Maintain market, competitive and customer insight and make clear recommendations on where to invest, accelerate, partner, reposition or rationalize.

Product Management & Build Leadership –

  • Lead the Security Suite Product Management function and establish a modern, hands-on product operating model.
  • Drive customer discovery, problem definition, rapid prototyping and validation before significant engineering investment.
  • Build PMs are expected to work directly with customers and Engineering from discovery through delivery.
  • Product owns product outcomes, prioritization, scope and acceptance; partner with Engineering to establish executable commitments and manage trade-offs.

Customer & Market Leadership

  • Build deep relationships with retailers and maintain a strong Voice-of-the-Customer mechanism.
  • Engage directly with loss prevention, store operations, technology teams and executives to validate direction and measure value.
  • Represent Security Suite with customers, partners, analysts and industry forums, converting insight into scalable portfolio decisions rather than one-off requirements.

Commercialization & Growth

  • Own commercialization strategy in partnership with Sales and Technical Marketing.
  • Define positioning, packaging, pricing, target segments, use-case economics and go-to-market strategy.
  • Support strategic opportunities while building repeatable offerings that scale across customers.
  • Drive expansion through additional use cases, locations, devices and capabilities to increase adoption and recurring software revenue.

Cross-Functional Product Execution

  • Connect Security Suite strategy to Engineering execution, Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, Innovation and Portfolio Operations.
  • high-level product requirements and desired outcomes, remain engaged through execution, and own product acceptance.
  • Partner on major customer SOW1/product alignment and UAT while protecting the integrity and scalability of the core roadmap.

Portfolio Performance & Leadership

  • Build and develop a high-performing product team. Establish clear objectives and operating cadences, track portfolio performance, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate decisions and progress to executive leadership.
  • Success measures include portfolio growth and ARR, adoption and expansion, gross margin, pipeline/conversion, customer value/ROI, product usage, roadmap outcomes, time from discovery to validated solution, customer satisfaction and retention.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven product management leadership for enterprise software/SaaS products from discovery through commercialization and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate retailer/customer insight into product strategy, roadmap priorities, business cases, and measurable outcomes.
  • Hands-on product leadership: customer discovery, rapid experimentation/prototyping, prioritization, scope trade-offs, and product acceptance.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in pricing, packaging, revenue/ARR, adoption, margin, pipeline, forecasting, and investment decisions.
  • Technical fluency across modern SaaS, APIs, cloud/edge architectures, AI/ML and computer vision sufficient to partner effectively with architects and engineering teams.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Services, Customer Success, Finance, and partners without relying solely on organizational authority.
  • Strong executive communication and customer-facing skills; able to represent portfolio strategy with retailers, partners, analysts, and senior leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial, decisive product thinker who can operate in ambiguity, make grounded recommendations, and move quickly from insight to action.

Preferred:

  • MBA or equivalent business leadership experience.
  • Experience in retail technology, loss prevention, computer vision, AI/ML, store operations, or adjacent domains.
  • Experience commercializing enterprise SaaS / software products and scaling recurring-revenue offerings.
