What You'll Do:
Traeger is seeking a detail-savvy, motivated Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will work closely with the Cost Accounting Manager to keep product costing accurate, analyze cost variances, and help fine-tune our processes for peak performance. You will dive into large datasets, collaborate with teams across the company, and play a key role in driving smart financial decisions—all while building a strong foundation in accounting. How You Will Help Us Win:
- Maintain and update standard costs in the ERP system
- Analyze and reconcile cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuations, and production variances
- Support monthly and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare manufacturing cost reports and margin analysis
- Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to understand cost drivers and suggest improvements
- Maintain accurate records of bills of materials (BOMs) and routings
- Perform ad hoc cost analysis and reporting as requested by management
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of cost accounting concepts and GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and basic formulas
- Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
