FP&A Reporting Specialist

We are seeking an energetic and analytical FP&A Reporting Specialist to join our team. The ideal person will be responsible for analysing financial data, creating models, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role will be interacting with stakeholders across the company, including those at the executive and board level, and is an exciting opportunity to influence the purpose and direction of our business.

Here’s what you’ll be doing as an FP&A Reporting Specialist:

  • Regular financial and operational forecasting
  • Testing assumptions with department leaders
  • Creating and maintaining company budgets (operational spend, salary spend etc)
  • Challenge costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies (e.g. monitoring contracts that come to an end, and identify opportunities for optimisation)
  • Supporting strategic planning and capital planning
  • Building and running numerous financial models
  • Identify and optimise small and medium processes for continuous efficiency improvements
  • Monthly executive and board reporting
  • Preparing external facing investor materials
  • Analysing investment opportunities
  • Assisting in capital raising and M&A
  • Market research and opportunity screening
  • Finding new ways to automate existing processes
  • Building relationships and collaborating with business leaders
  • Act as the single point of contact for stakeholders for activities requiring changes to operational resources

Here’s what we’d love from our new FP&A Reporting Specialist:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets is a must
  • Demonstrable analytical thinking, communication skills and problem solving
  • Great report writing and slide presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Willingness to challenge team members and stakeholders in a productive, considerate way
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to proactively anticipate, prevent and/or resolve potential issues
  • Qualification in a technical field (e.g. Engineering, Maths, Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics etc)
  • Fluent and effective oral and written communication skills in English (all communication with budget stakeholders is in English)
  • Proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

And if you can also do this stuff, even better: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Knowledge/experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or accounting
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and governance practices
  • Experience working with Tableau
