Product Lead, Sales Enablement
Trellis is a profitable, fast-growing Series A startup backed by top investors like General Catalyst, QED, NYCA, and Amex Ventures.
Our mission: make shopping for home and auto insurance faster, smarter, and easier for everyday Americans. Powered by ML and GenAI, we help people find better insurance — saving them time, money, and stress.
We’re fully remote, built for speed, and led by a third-time fintech founder with a track record of building public companies.
If you move fast, take ownership, and care about your craft, you’ll thrive here.
Product Lead, Sales Enablement
We’re looking for a Product Lead, Sales Enablement to take ownership of the agent experience and internal software that powers our business. While this isn’t a traditional Product Manager role, you’ll act as the de facto PM for the operational systems and processes that drive agent productivity, customer interactions, and overall business performance.
Our agents are at the core of our customer experience, and the tools they use are among our most critical areas of investment. The Product Lead, Sales Enablement will independently perform deep data dives, review individual consumer and agent experiences, run experiments, propose, prioritize, and define operational changes (such as to our agent comp framework) and product changes (such as to agents’ tooling and automation hand-offs), to ultimately make the best use of our cross-functional resources and to grow our insurance agency.
If you’re a systems thinker who thrives at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and execution, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact.
What You’ll Do:
- Grow Sales Agent Efficiency by +30% (relative)
- Increase Gross Profit per Agent per Day by +50% (relative)
- Gross Profit = Revenue minus Agent Expense minus Opportunity Cost of calls/texts/etc. routed to our Agency
- Narrow the performance gap across the sales team as our platform starts to rely on tooling rather than individual talent or knowledge
- Drive a steady stream of 5-star reviews and reduce lower-grade reviews from customers who interact with our sales team
- Foster strong engagement and satisfaction from our sales, ops, and engineering teams
What You Bring:
- Extreme Ownership – extremely outcome driven; extremely flexible about scope and definition of responsibilities (and always happy to help with janitorial work); fulfills promises consistently.
- Data-driven – able to rigorously analyze data in order to inform product and operational decisions.
- Master organizer/collaborator – clear, efficient, and effective written and verbal communicator; strong project management skills; strong attention to detail.
- Technical – technical judgement enables high-throughout collaboration with engineering and relevant/valuable suggestions, ideas, and opinions for product
- Sales-minded – honed sales instincts (knows what will convert) and good judgement with respect to scaling and managing a mid-size team of remote sales agents
Who You Are:
- 3+ years of Product Manager or RevOps experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex challenges.
- Deep understanding of data and performance metrics—comfortable using Looker to perform investigations, and build and maintain dashboards.
- Experience optimizing internal tools, CRMs, or operational workflows in a high-growth environment.
- History of success with process improvement, automation, or change management in a fast-paced setting.
- (Preferred) Experience working with mid-size sales teams (50 - 100 agents)
- (Preferred) Insurance / Fintech background
We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
Note: all employees must complete a background check prior to starting employment with Trellis or its subsidiaries.
