Lab Pack QA/QC Specialist
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is looking for a Lab Pack QA/QC Specialist for our Royse City team.
This role is responsible for conducting laboratory analyses of hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and supporting the safe treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. This role involves technical expertise in laboratory procedures, data analysis, and quality control.

Essential responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing on hazardous waste samples to determine chemical composition, properties, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collect, label, and prepare samples for analysis, ensuring proper handling and documentation throughout the process.
- Ensure all laboratory activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including RCRA and EPA guidelines related to hazardous waste management.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results, including calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Record and analyze data from laboratory tests, generating reports and maintaining accurate records for compliance and internal review.
- Follow all safety protocols and best practices in handling hazardous materials, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide training and support to junior laboratory staff and assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Work closely with other team members, supervisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure efficient operations and compliance with hazardous waste regulations.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., HAZWOPER) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with a focus on hazardous waste management or environmental analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with hazardous waste regulations and safety practices; experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is an advantage.
- Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
- Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
- The Lab Pack QA/QC Specialist frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive
- Valid US driver’s license
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
- Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
