Essential responsibilities and duties include:
- Operate excavators and fork lifts, as well as other equipment
- Develop an understanding of DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations and TEI's Health and Safety Practices
- Understand and execute all required paperwork
- Routinely perform pre- and post-use inspections
- Stabilize and solidify EPA listed hazardous waste for disposal
- Process waste materials per landfill, waste to energy and recycle specifications
- Work with various stabilization and treatment reagents
- Maintain facility to meet/exceed permit requirements
- Assist Facility Manager as requested
- Maintain good attendance
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred but not required
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience operating excavators, as well as other equipment
- Basic knowledge of, or interest in, hazardous waste field
- Self-motivation with the desire to learn
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
- Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
- Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
- Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
- The (Position Title) frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior relevant industry experience
- Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification
- Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
