Inside Sales Representative

BestPLUS Plastic Lumber

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our growing Sales team. This position can be based out of our Somerville, MA or Chicago, IL location.

This is a ground-floor sales role with a clear path into a full-cycle Account Executive position. You will be the tip of the spear — identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new business across our key verticals. You will receive hands-on product training, work alongside experienced sales professionals, and be equipped with the tools, support, and coaching to succeed.

If you are a motivated self-starter who loves the hunt, thrives on opening new doors, and wants to sell a product that genuinely makes the world more sustainable — this role is for you.

BestPLUS is a fast-growing manufacturer of recycled plastic lumber based in Jeannette, PA. We manufacture sustainable, durable, and maintenance-free plastic lumber products made from 98% recycled plastic — saving millions of pounds of plastic from landfills every year. Our products last for decades without rot, splinters, insects, or chemicals, and are used in landscaping, construction, synthetic turf, truck & trailer, pallets, and industrial applications across North America.

We saved over 8.5 million pounds of plastic from landfills in 2023 alone. Our products outlast wood, require zero maintenance, and solve real problems for contractors, landscapers, and builders every day. When you sell BestPLUS, you are not just making a quota — you are helping build a more sustainable world. We are a growing company with a great product, a clear mission, and real room for the right people to advance.

This position reports to our Vice President of Plastic Lumber Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Open new doors through strategic cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and in-person prospecting.
  • Identify and qualify prospects within target verticals — understanding their pain points, buying process, and decision timeline.

  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline using CRM software; keep records accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop territory strategies and campaigns for key verticals.

  • Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and contractor expos to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Deliver regular reports on prospecting activity, pipeline status, and results to sales leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and end-user contacts over time.
  • Represent BestPLUS with professionalism, energy, and a genuine passion for our sustainability mission.

You will prospect and develop relationships across the following verticals:

  • General Contractors & Concrete Forming Companies
  • Synthetic Turf Installers & Athletic Field Contractors
  • Building Material Distributors & Dealers
  • Industrial & Logistics Companies (truck/trailer dunnage, cribbing, pallets)

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • A hunter mentality: you are energized by opening new accounts, handling rejection, and finding creative ways in.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills — you can quickly build rapport and hold a compelling conversation.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills; you can juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
  • Willingness to work independently in a field-based role while staying closely connected to the team.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning CRM and prospecting tools.
  • A genuine interest in sustainability, green building, or environmental impact — our story is your story.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and advance — this role is designed to lead to a full Account Executive position.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
