Role Overview
The Chief of Staff will serve as a critical strategic partner to the CFO, leveraging a strong professional background from top-tier financial institutions. Ideal candidates will bring several years of experience from leading investment banks, management consulting firms, or private equity/venture capital environments. This role requires an exceptional candidate who can act as a force multiplier across investor relations, corporate development, and key strategic initiatives. The successful individual will combine sophisticated financial expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to support the CFO in managing complex cross-functional projects, driving financial strategy, and providing high-impact analytical insights.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relations and Strategic Positioning
- Develop and manage comprehensive investor communication strategies
- Coordinate investor meetings, pitch presentations, and stakeholder communications
- Monitor and analyze investor sentiment and market dynamics
- Support fundraising preparation and investor relationship management
- Conduct deep market research and competitive intelligence to inform strategic positioning
Corporate Development Support
- Identify and evaluate potential strategic partnerships and investment opportunities
- Develop comprehensive due diligence materials and investment theses
- Support negotiation processes for strategic deals
- Manage cross-functional teams during strategic assessment and partnership evaluation
Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives
- Design and drive high-impact projects that require coordination across multiple teams
- Create detailed project plans and tracking mechanisms for strategic initiatives
- Provide advanced analytical support for strategic decision-making
- Develop innovative approaches to solving complex business challenges
Strategic Coordination and Enablement
- Serve as a strategic liaison between the CFO and other executive leaders, facilitating communication and alignment
- Identify and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives that support the company's financial and operational objectives
- Develop comprehensive strategic frameworks that leverage insights from the finance team without duplicating their core operational work
Executive Support
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CFO
- Synthesize complex information from multiple sources into clear, actionable strategic insights
- Represent the CFO in critical meetings and communications
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or advanced financial degree strongly preferred
- 4-6 years of experience in strategic roles at top-tier investment banks, consulting firms, or venture capital/private equity environments
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Proven track record of driving cross-functional strategic initiatives
- Deep understanding of business strategy and financial ecosystems
- Demonstrated interest or experience in technology-driven strategic development
