About the job
This position is needed to be responsible for providing a best-in-class voice service that powers the most demanding contact centers on the planet with network connections that enables calling to over 200 countries/territories around the world.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead Product for Voice Connectivity routing and security team based in United States who is responsible for originating 100% of calls to the public telephone network globally.
- Responsible for the roadmap, requirements and prioritize releases for your engineering team
- Write detailed and technical product requirements for your engineering team
- Interface with 3rd party vendors
- Run Looker (SQL queries) to track adoption, and success metrics, and KPIs. Create hypothesis and validate with data and customer testimonials
- Taking into consideration customer use-cases and dynamic regulatory frameworks, make recommendations on how to evolve the platform.
- Generate customer communications when regulatory frameworks change impacting customers

Required:
- Education in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, data science or similar.
- Experience writing detailed requirements for a software feature or solution for an internal or external customers.
- Demonstrated experience working with big data sets and using tools such as writing SQL queries, sheets, or similar.
- Strong technical, analytical, and UI/UX design understanding and will roll up sleeves to get the job done.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
Desired:
- Experience independently testing hypotheses and quantifying expected impact by querying internal data sets.
- Experience or Interest in understanding distributed systems (cloud-scale) architectures.
- Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM development process with globally-distributed teams and customers.
- Experience working with direct sales, marketing, and defining pricing/packaging.
Location
This role will be remote but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 5%> travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado or Washington D.C.: $164,000-$205,000.
- Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $174,000-$217,000.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $193,000-$241,000.
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
