About the job
This position is needed to play a key role in expanding Twilio’s footprint with social impact organizations - helping more of them use Twilio’s digital communication tools to reach the people they serve. Twilio.org exists to bring the power of Twilio’s Customer Engagement Platform to organizations advancing social good - from nonprofits and NGOs, to universities, hospitals and local governments.
This role requires cross-functional collaboration across business units to support Twilio.org’s product marketing needs, focusing on key verticals: Healthcare, Higher Education, Public Sector and Humanitarian Action. Additionally, this position will drive the development of key customer insights, value proposition, messaging creation, and content strategy. Finally, this role will serve as an organizational champion and thought leader representing Twilio.org in external communications, including webinars, event panels, customer roundtables as well as internal events and panels to advocate for twilio.org’s social impact mission and priorities.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Establish yourself as “THE” customer and product thought leader for the audiences we target, and represent Twilio.org across external and internal communications including events & conferences, webinars, blogs, thought leadership pieces, etc.
- Understand key customer insights and the industry landscape such as the business processes, industry trends, key issues, and personas.
- Develop customer value propositions by vertical including deep persona analysis, alignment to Twilio.org’s key differentiators, value proposition creation and supporting messaging aligned to Twilio’s corporate strategy/positioning and Twilio.org’s mission/vision.
- Lead the creation of key content assets across the marketing funnel to build awareness, drive consideration and influence conversion including white papers, webinars, reports, infographics, explainer videos, demos, battle cards, pitch decks, internal presentations, etc. Translate our solutions initiatives into actionable programs to help fuel the sales pipeline, close deals, and deliver growth.
- Develop effective sales training materials and operationalize enablement, in partnership with the corporate enablement team, making it easy for sales to understand our product offerings, key positioning, and marketing efforts.
- Build consensus, alignment, and engagement across Campaigns, Brand, Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Pricing Strategy, and Customer Success

Required:
- You have 6-8 years of Product Marketing, Industry Marketing or Go-To-Market background.
- Specifically, you have global experience within the CPaaS (Customer Platform as a Service) or related SaaS industries
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal including live and virtual meetings, slide decks, etc. and have demonstrated a strong, engaging presence across multiple forms of communications.
- You are a strategic thinker--you like to build a deep domain expertise through primary and secondary research and can apply that research to develop positioning, thought leadership, and marketing campaigns.
- You know how to turn data into a story. You know how to turn a story into a presentation. You are able to clearly articulate complex concepts to leave a lasting impression.
- You know how to enable and educate internal audiences to drive meaningful and actionable content.
- You can jump right in and get things done with limited assistance and direction.
- Savvy at developing good working relationships with cross-functional teams and aligning with global stakeholders.
- Interest in using your skills to create positive social impact, and preferably have some volunteer or professional experience with the social impact sector.
Desired:
- You've worked with technology products that target developers with cloud-based services, or API solutions.
- You understand and have experience in the global market around programmable communications or related technologies.
- You have a good understanding of Twilio's value proposition and the apps that have already been built. You can build a Twilio app yourself.
Location
This role will be remote, and located in British Columbia, Alberta, or Ontario, Canada.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
Based in British Columbia: CAD 118,200.00 - CAD 147,700.00
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
