Responsibilities:

  • Inputting nutritional data for generic and branded American foods into the database.
  • Reviewing foods submitted by members and mapping them to existing foods from the database.
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of nutritional information by cross-referencing multiple sources and verifying data integrity.
  • Follow standardized procedures for data entry and quality assurance.
  • Assisting in adding and maintaining both recipe and ingredients databases, including nutrition analysis, identifying allergens, and tagging foods with appropriate diet preferences.
  • Other projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Certification or licensure as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and nutrient analysis.
  • Familiarity with generic and branded American foods, including ingredient lists and nutritional labels.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to gather and interpret nutritional data from various sources.
  • Proficiency in data entry.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data input and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Google Sheets or similar software.
  • Knowledge of keyboard shortcuts and typing 40+ words per minute.
