Psychologist – Behaviour Change & Precision Health

India

Twin Health

At Twin Health, we empower people to improve and prevent chronic metabolic diseases, like type 2 diabetes and obesity, with a new standard of care. Twin Health is the only company applying AI Digital Twin technology exclusively toward metabolic health.

We start by building a dynamic model of each person’s metabolism — drawing on thousands of data points from CGMs, smartwatches, and meal logs — that maps their personal path to better health. Guided by a dedicated clinical care team, our members have lowered their A1C below the diabetes range, achieved lasting weight loss, and reduced or even eliminated medications, all while living healthier, happier lives.

Working here

Our team at Twin Health is passionate, talented, and united by a shared purpose: to improve the metabolic health and happiness of our members. We believe in empowering every Twin to make a meaningful impact for our members, our clients, and each other, while enjoying a supportive, collaborative work environment.

Twin has been recognized not only for our innovation but also for our culture, including: Innovator of the Year by the Employer Health Innovation Roundtable (EHIR), selected to CB Insights’ Digital Health 150, and named one of Newsweek’s Top Most Loved Workplace® .

With more than $100 million raised in recent funding, including a $53 million Series E round in 2025 led by Maj Invest, and a $50 million investment in 2023 led by Temasek, Twin is scaling rapidly across the U.S. and globally. Backed by leading venture firms like ICONIQ Growth, Sequoia, Sofina, Temasek, and Peak XV, we are building the most impactful digital health company in the world.

Join us as we reinvent the standard of care in metabolic health.

Job Description

Role Purpose

The Psychologist – Behaviour Change & Precision Health will work as an integral part of the Twinhealth clinical care team to improve member engagement, adherence and long-term behavioural change. The role will leverage psychological science, behavioural medicine and motivational interviewing to understand the individual behavioural, emotional and contextual barriers affecting a member's ability to follow personalised recommendations generated by the Twin Digital Twin.

The psychologist will use member-specific metabolic, behavioural and engagement data to develop individualised behaviour-change strategies, helping members translate personalised recommendations around nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, medication adherence and lifestyle into sustainable daily behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

1. Individualised Behavioural Assessment

  • Assess psychological, behavioural and contextual factors influencing a member's metabolic health and programme engagement.

  • Identify barriers to adherence, including motivation, health beliefs, emotional eating, stress, poor sleep, habit patterns, low self-efficacy and competing life demands.

  • Use longitudinal member data and Digital Twin insights to identify behavioural patterns associated with improvement or deterioration.

2. Precision Behaviour Change

  • Develop personalised behavioural interventions based on the member's specific metabolic phenotype, goals, readiness to change and behavioural barriers.

  • Translate complex clinical/Digital Twin recommendations into practical and achievable behavioural goals.

  • Apply evidence-based approaches including motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioural techniques, goal setting, habit formation, self-monitoring and behavioural activation.

  • Individualise the intensity and type of psychological intervention according to member need.

3. Engagement & Adherence

  • Proactively identify members at risk of disengagement or poor adherence.

  • Develop interventions to improve adherence to nutrition, exercise, sleep, medication and monitoring recommendations.

  • Address behavioural resistance, motivational decline, treatment fatigue and loss of engagement.

  • Reinforce self-efficacy and help members develop sustainable rather than short-term behaviour change.

4. Data-Driven Behavioural Coaching

  • Integrate psychological assessment with Digital Twin outputs, CGM trends, wearable data, engagement metrics and clinical outcomes.

  • Identify relationships between behavioural patterns and changes in metabolic outcomes.

  • Use these insights to continuously refine individual behavioural interventions.

  • Contribute behavioural interpretation to multidisciplinary clinical case reviews.

5. Psychological & Emotional Support

  • Address psychological factors that directly interfere with metabolic health and programme adherence, including stress, anxiety, emotional eating, sleep-related behavioural issues and maladaptive coping behaviours.

  • Recognise members requiring formal mental-health assessment or specialist psychiatric/psychological care and facilitate appropriate referral.

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries between behavioural-health intervention and treatment of psychiatric disorders.

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  • Master's degree/Doctorate in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology or Health Psychology.

  • Relevant professional registration/licensure as applicable.

  • Training in behavioural medicine, health psychology or motivational interviewing would be advantageous.

Experience

  • Experience in behaviour change, health psychology, chronic disease management, obesity, diabetes, lifestyle medicine or digital health.

  • Experience working with longitudinal patient/member data would be advantageous.

  • Experience with motivational interviewing and CBT-based behavioural interventions.

  • Understanding of adherence, habit formation and health behaviour change.

Core competencies
