About the Role

Twitch Tax is looking for an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to be part of and contribute to our dynamic business. The Tax Senior will be an important contributor to the Tax Team and will help manage our Vertex instance, perform data analysis, compile data for global information reporting and/or tax compliance, support AI and other automation efforts, and contribute to our overall tax compliance and operational excellence. You will report to the Tax Director that leads the tax operations and tax compliance teams. As Twitch continues to grow its live streaming platform with our amazing social community, we are looking for a candidate with project management experience who will support our business and community through deployment of their technical tax knowledge and skills, and collaboration with cross -functional teams.

You Will:

  • Partner with internal business partners on the collection, preparation, and submission of global information reporting forms
  • Assist in the maintenance, operation, and configuration of Vertex for Twitch
  • Support continuing efforts to incorporate AI and other scalable automation into existing tax compliance and reporting processes
  • Partner with Tax Team members on complex data driven projects 
  • Assist with other system implementation projects and New Product Initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation of Forms 1099 and 1042S
  • Prepare and analyze monthly reconciliation of transaction upload reports to revenue reports, and reconciliation of indirect tax accounts for financial reporting 
  • Partner with the Tax Team to respond to tax inquiries from customers, vendors, and internal departments 
  • Partner with internal business partners on the collection, preparation, and submission of indirect tax, DST, SALT, and other gross receipts or transactional tax compliance as requested
  • Help with other ad hoc tax compliance, operations and/or planning projects as requested

You Have:

  • BA/BS Degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, economics or related field
  • Experience in an ERP environment (SAP and/or Oracle)
  • 4+ years of experience in tax (Big 4 or Tech Industry)
  • Significant experience in Vertex (including rule mapping, transaction testing, MDU/SR updates, and systems integration of Vertex)
  • Proficiency in Alteryx
  • Proficiency with productivity tools (Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace)
  • Proficiency with tax research tools (CCH, RIA, and BNA)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
