We are growing and looking for an HR Business Partner to join our People team. As an HR Business Partner, you will be a key member of the corporate HR team, playing a crucial role in managing and enhancing the human capital of our organization. You will serve as the HR Point of Contact to assigned client groups’ managers and employees providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring
compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

This position will work from our Arlington office with a possibility of hybrid after the initial onboarding.

What you will do:

Employee Relations 

  • Advise and advocate on HR policies, procedures, and programs to promote company culture and compliance with labor laws.
  • Act as a confidential advisor on performance management, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and workplace fact-finding activities. Consult with client groups and facilitate conflict resolutions.
  • Conduct exit interviews, collect relevant data and analyze trends and patterns.
  • Serve as point of contact for employees addressing inquiries, concerns, and
    providing guidance.

Performance Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with people managers in assigned business units ensuring effective communications and execution of people programs.  
  • Collaborate with HR team members and business unit managers to execute annual performance management programs and annual salary planning process.

Compensation

  • Review and analyze proposed salary actions (e.g. annual salary planning process, in and out of cycle promotions and Market Salary Adjustments (MSAs), etc.) to support fair and equitable pay practices.

Training and Development

  • Ensure mandatory training is complete and documented, including anti-harassment and code of conduct training.

Reporting and HR Administration

  • Utilize HR Information Systems to gather and analyze HR data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Participate in HR-related audits and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to compensation, leave, exit interviews, training,
    and development etc.
  • Promote Human Resource process standardization and process improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of progressive human resource experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including EEO, FMLA, ADA and FLSA
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Platform (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and HRIS systems
  • Excellent communication skills, listening, verbal and written
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing people challenges
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and professionalism
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow through are essential to this position

What we would like:

  • Experience supporting government IT contracting organizations is highly desired
  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Experience using Paycom

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary Range

$97,300 - $160,700 USD
