Two Six Technologies is seeking a Senior Buyer who will thrive in a dynamic, agile organization. This position will be responsible for managing the acquisition of goods and services critical to our mission-driven technology solutions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and problem solver that can adapt to our growing business as we mature. This role requires strategic sourcing, vendor management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support our innovative projects in national security and advanced technology.

This is a remote position with travel to our Arlington, VA headquarters or Herndon, VA as needed.

What You Will Do:

  • Procurement & Acquisition Planning: Apply procurement techniques to support acquisition planning and strategies for materials, software, and services necessary for on-going operations.
  • Strategic Advising: Serve as a business advisor to internal customers, providing alternative solutions to requested items when such solutions offer benefits like enhanced performance, cost savings, or improved scheduling.
  • Sourcing & Vendor Management: Develop sourcing lists for various commodities to support the development of Requests for Information (RFI), Quotations (RFQ), and Proposals (RFP), as well as engage in complex negotiations with vendors.
  • Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate procurement details, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, quality standards, and terms and conditions to secure cost savings and minimize risks. Establish Master Agreements with strategic suppliers to enhance efficiency, reliability, and competition.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and work with management and internal compliance auditors to ensure compliance and efficiency in procurement operations. Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Cost & Price Analysis: Conduct supplier cost management, foster competition, and perform price analysis to ensure fair and reasonable pricing. Analyze data and determine factors that affect prices and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
  • Purchase Order Administration: Manage cradle-to-grave purchase order administration and file maintenance, from solicitation to closeout by collaboration with internal functions (i.e., Receiving, Government Property, Finance).
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and provide guidance to junior level buyers
  • Communication and Responsiveness: Effectively communicate with stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring clear, timely, and professional interactions. Promptly address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide updates to maintain strong relationships and support procurement objectives.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience and professional training
  • 5+ years of relevant experience supporting Federal prime contracts
  • Proven experience in managing strategic purchasing agreements and handling complex negotiations
  • Familiarity with FAR clauses and contractual requirements

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with SAP Ariba or comparable P2P system
  • Experience working in a CPSR compliant environment
  • Experience with report generating and analysis
  • Familiar with negotiating single and multi-year SAAS agreements


Security clearance needed:

The ability to obtain and maintain a high level government security clearance

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary Range

$84,000 - $139,000 USD
