Overview of Opportunity
Two Six Technologies is seeking an Android Wireless Security Researcher to join our growing team of cybersecurity professionals. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals passionate about reverse engineering, cybersecurity, and continuous learning. You will work closely with experienced engineers and stakeholders in Agile environments to develop your technical expertise while contributing to impactful security research projects.
This is a hybrid position requiring on-site support one day per week at our Northern Virginia customer site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with analyzing software binaries, firmware, and systems to understand functionality, identify potential vulnerabilities, and extract relevant information.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, and support project planning and execution.
- Contribute to documenting findings, methodologies, and project updates while learning best practices from senior engineers.
Engage in self-study, training, and mentorship to build reverse engineering, cybersecurity, and Agile skills. - Work with senior engineers, developers, and analysts to troubleshoot challenges, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in reverse engineering, cybersecurity, or software development (may include internships, coursework, or projects) with exposure to reverse engineering tasks.
- Minimum of 1 year working in Agile environments through coursework, internships, or collaborative projects.
- Familiarity with reverse engineering tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja) and scripting or basic programming for automation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Nice to Have (Preferred):
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Reverse Engineering Analyst (CREA) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)) are a plus.
- Active Top Secret clearance with polygraph preferred.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret clearance with willingness and ability to obtain a polygraph is required.

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
Salary Range
$99,712 - $150,000 USD
