Overview of Opportunity 

Two Six Technologies is searching for a cleared Strategic Communications Specialist to support the development and execution of global communication campaigns by drafting digital content, refining visual assets, and coordinating campaign deployment. Working closely under the Strategic Communications Deputy, this role plays a key part in maintaining message consistency, ensuring timely publishing, and tracking the progress of ongoing initiatives. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, a detail-oriented project manager, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

The job will be 100% onsite at our customer site in Rosslyn, VA.  

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications

  • Draft, edit, and produce high-quality content including press releases, social media posts, website copy, newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Create platform-specific social media messaging aligned with campaign goals and target audiences.
  • Review and refine text for infographics, digital banners, and other visual content; support quality control of visual assets.
  • Maintain organized records and submit succinct entries for multiple reporting chains.
  • Conduct regular media and news monitoring to inform messaging and strategy.
  • Coordinate and track approvals for campaign advertisements and promotional materials.
  • Manage post scheduling and content queues to ensure timely, coordinated release across multiple platforms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Campaign Tracking & Coordination

  • Monitor the progress of campaigns from concept development through final release, ensuring clear status visibility and on-time delivery.
  • Support the Strategic Communications Deputy and broader team with administrative and coordination tasks to keep campaigns on track; liaise with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of assets.
  • Collect and synthesize feedback on draft materials from stakeholders and audiences to share with design, content, or implementation teams for refinement.
  • Contribute to the development of communication plans and campaign calendars.

External Partner Engagement

  • In collaboration with the Strategic Communication Advisor and Deputy, coordinate communication and collaboration with other offices to expand program reach and ensure consistent messaging across regions.
  • Provide partners with promotional material and guidance to support partner outreach efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Political Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, public affairs, digital media, or content development.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple moving parts and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite), and content platforms (e.g., WordPress).
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Meltwater.
  • Familiarity with cultural or linguistic social media targeting based on trends, key personalities, political dynamics, and current events.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new and emerging communication tools and technologies.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary Range

$80,500 - $135,000 USD
