Signature Dental Partners (SDP) is one of the top 20 largest dental support organizations (DSOs) in the US that acquires and supports affiliated dentists in the Western U.S. with proven non-clinical business support functions. The non-clinical support SDP provides allows dentists to spend more time and attention on patient care rather than burdensome administrative functions. Affiliated dentists benefit from professionally managed non-clinical support services such as human resources including provider recruiting, marketing and operational support, payor relations, group purchasing, vendor management, capital investments, staff management, finance, and information systems. SDP’s culture is heavily focused on our relationships with affiliated and associate dentists across our network. SDP partners with general dentists and all practices are commercial/PPO and fee-for-service (no government pay).
We are seeking a Vice President of Operations who will be responsible for monitoring and assisting in the operations of 100+ dental practices affiliated with Signature Dental Partners across the western part of the country. The Vice President of Operations will focus on executing operational initiatives in collaboration with the CEO and President, which will be focused on growing providers, patient visits and office level profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Significant emphasis and focus on developing relationships with providers, retaining them and ensuring they feel supported
- Primary responsibility to grow providers, patient visits and increase office level profitability across the company’s 100+ locations
- Responsible for managing, developing and supporting the regional directors of operations to grow the locations within their regions
- Significant emphasis and focus on growing patient visits and ensuring providers have full schedules
- Drive accountability across regional operators to ensure they are filling the provider schedules, supporting their providers and managing offices in a profitable manner
- Create processes in collaboration with CEO and President to memorialize operational playbooks
- Support regional directors with their Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs) with their lead doctors and office manager to review key operating metrics including patient visits and provider days, P&L performance and the Value Creation Plan initiatives with support from Executive leaders as needed
- Monitor office level staffing to ensure the practice is appropriately staffed on a weekly basis and adjusting as needed
- Maintain regular communication with dental office staff and affiliated doctors to review practice trends and performance including Monthly Operating Reviews and regular office visits, phone and/or video calls as needed
- Assist in onboarding and integration for newly affiliated dental practices implementation of operational processes per Signature Dental Partners “best practice” guidelines and philosophy
- Represent Signature’s culture of provider-first and ensure the doctors and hygienists feel supported
Requirements:
- +10 years of proven success overseeing multi-site healthcare, ideally dental practices
- Significant previous experience managing and developing teams and driving accountability and results on key initiatives
- Highly collaborative and receptive to feedback and partnership with the Executive team and Board of Directors
- Expected to spend significant amount of time in the field with regional directors to support their locations and dentists
- Must have ability to develop relationships, manage and influence providers, specifically dentists
- Experience with practice management systems such as Dentrix, Ascend, and others
- Previous P&L responsibility and experience with budgets, personnel management, and team building
- Ability to prioritize tasks and create accountability with regional directors and office managers
- Strong executive presence and ability to report up to Executive leaders and Board of Directors
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required
- Work location at Phoenix Support office preferred; however, flexible based on the right candidate
Compensation:
- Highly competitive compensation consisting of base salary, performance bonus, and an equity package
