Chief of Staff
About the Role
We are seeking a Chief of Staff to the CFO who will serve as a trusted advisor, integrator, and force multiplier for the Finance leadership team. This role ensures that the CFO’s priorities are executed with discipline and consistency, while providing the governance, operating rhythm, and cross-functional integration needed to deliver on Platform Finance’s multi-year transformation agenda. Unlike the PMO (which drives enterprise program delivery) or the Transformation Program Manager (which executes day-to-day transformation milestones), the CoS focuses on strategic alignment, communication, and organizational effectiveness enabling the CFO to lead at the right altitude across All Business Units.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the CFO; anticipate needs, manage priorities, and ensure follow-through.
- Drive alignment between CFO priorities and the finance leadership team’s execution.
- Support CFO in board, investor, and executive committee engagements.
- Design and run the CFO’s operating rhythm, including leadership team meetings, staff forums, QBRs, and off-sites.
- Partner with PMO and TPM to ensure transformation milestones and risks are surfaced and addressed.
- Maintain the governance framework for finance, ensuring accountability, unification and transparency across functions.
- Support finance leadership in decision-making, communication, and cross-functional integration.
- Partner with HR on organizational health, succession planning, and talent initiatives.
- Manage critical strategic projects that fall outside the scope of existing functions.
- Prepare CFO for key internal and external meetings (board, investors, executives, regulators).
- Draft communications, presentations, and updates to ensure consistent messaging.
- Serve as a bridge between the CFO and Finance leadership, ensuring clarity and accountability.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in finance, consulting, or transformation leadership.
- Proven experience as a Chief of Staff, strategy leader, or senior program leader in a complex enterprise.
- Strong understanding of finance functions (Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, ERP/FIS, PMO) and transformation at scale.
- Track record of influencing at the C-suite level and managing across multiple senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

- Masters degree (MBA, CPA) preferred.
- Trusted advisor who able to anticipate CFO needs and operate with discretion.
- Integrator who connects functions, people, and priorities across Finance and the enterprise.
- Strategic communicator who sharp writer and presenter, comfortable with executive and investor audiences.
- Organizational driver who creates discipline, rhythm, and accountability.
- Agile leader who balances governance with flexibility, able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills able to distill complexity for executive audiences.
- Strong program management discipline with the ability to track multiple initiatives.
California: The salary range for this role is $167,460 to $210,360 a year.
