(Senior) Lifecycle Marketing Manager

What You'll Do
As a (Senior) Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will own UnitedMaster’s lifecycle marketing strategy and execution - building relationships with millions of independent artists, and helping them leverage the UnitedMasters ecosystem to turn their passion into a career. You will design, implement, and optimize campaigns that drive conversion, engagement, and retention, ensuring a seamless and impactful artist experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Artist Journey Mapping: Analyze and map the artist journey, identifying key touchpoints and opportunities to engage, convert, upsell, and retain artist
- Campaign Design and Execution: Build email, push, and in-app messaging campaigns that effectively convert, engage, and retain artists at each state of the customer journey
- Experimentation and Measurement: Develop an experimentation framework for lifecycle campaigns, utilizing A/B and holdback testing to quantity measurable impact on key goals
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Leverage analytics tools inform, measure, and optimize performance, providing regular reporting on business/revenue impact of campaigns
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g. product, brand, artist marketing, partnerships) to ensure synergy of strategy and communications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Deep working knowledge of marketing automation tools (e.g. Braze, Iterable), CRM software, analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Amplitude), and digital marketing channels. Must be comfortable building audience segments and setting up multi-channel campaigns based on those segments
- Experience building marketing strategies and campaigns designed to engage and retain paid subscribers across multiple channels (more than email)
- Ability to leverage data to inform, measure, and optimize campaigns, with experience optimizing for business growth vs pure vanity matrics (click through rates, open rates)
- Understanding of artist-centric marketing and the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging that resonates with artists in every stage of their career
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt priorities in a fast-paced, fluid startup environment
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years in Lifecycle marketing within a digital subscription platform (preferable in the music or entertainment space)
- Deep knowledge of Marketing automation & analytics tools (e.g. Braze, Iterable, Salesforce), with 2+ years hands-on experience directly building end-to-end customer journeys and campaigns within these tools. Well versed in campaign / journey setup, platform capabilities, reporting, and best practices
- Proven experience directly managing end-to-end campaign development: from concepting, to design), to execution, to reporting
- Demonstrated success driving meaningful business growth (acquisition, retention, revenue/upsells) via lifecycle channels/tactics. Must have experience reporting on business impact vs. short-term metrics like open rates, click through rates, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the music industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field

Salary Hiring Range: $103,500 - $160,000
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)
Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
The salary range above is for the NY/CA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location.
