We are looking for a Senior Data Strategist to join us at Translation! Please note that this role requires three days in office and two days remote.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive measurement strategies and frameworks across multiple product streams
- Uncover and communicate audience insights internally to foster a deeper understanding of customer segments
- Guide strategic conversations around campaign measurement, ensuring alignment on the key performance indicators
- Deliver sharp, multi-channel performance reports that provide actionable insights
- Positively challenge assumptions and contribute to creative ideation by asking the right questions and offering strategic insights
- Design and execute surveys and methodologies for primary research, illuminating audience truths
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and their practical applications
- Expertise with social media analytics and listening tools
- Proficiency in segmentation, content analysis, and web analytics tools, with a strong ability to evaluate and integrate new, innovative data solutions to enhance strategy
- Experience with analytics within media performance data and audience targeting
- Strong data visualization and reporting skills
- Excellent storytelling/story-building skills
- A curious mind and a passion for understanding what drives consumers & culture
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of digital and social media analytics and insights experience
- Ability to evaluate campaign/creative effectiveness to foster brand growth and audience engagement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Implementation of surveys and primary research initiatives that uncover critical consumer insights, leveraging a range of research methodologies (e.g., ethnographies, focus groups, online surveys) to ensure robust and valid data collection

Salary Hiring Range: $105,000 - $125,000
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)
Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
The salary range above is for the NY/CA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location.
