About the role
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the processing and the day‐to‐day activities of the organization’s multi‐state payroll function ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness for the End‐to‐End payroll process. The Payroll Analyst will ensure our company's payroll process is accurate and timely and be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll, including ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, maintaining payroll records and processing paychecks.
What you'll do
- Process Multi‐State full cycle weekly payrolls including data entry, validation, employee payments and report outputs (semi-monthly payroll).
- Prepare and submit all required payroll outputs including payroll tax filing and accounting reports.
- Prepare certified payrolls in compliance with government regulations and project specifications.
- Stay up‐to‐date with payroll laws and regulations.
- Analyze and resolve payroll issues, discrepancies, and inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross‐functional teams, including HR, accounting, and project management.
- Process off-cycle payrolls as needed for terminations, adjustments etc.
- 401K reporting: Reconcile and report on 401k contributions and disbursements.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of payroll supervisory role.
- Experience in payroll including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Knowledge of US multi‐state, multi‐jurisdiction environment, taxes and labor laws.
- Experience with PEO, TriNet preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel.
- PC skills including working knowledge of the Microsoft environment and the ability to access, manipulate, organize and relay information in a meaningful way.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification a plus.

Target base compensation is $75,000 annually. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
