About the role

The Workplace Experience Coordinator is responsible for streamlining daily facility operations to ensure office/operational efficiency. The Workplace Experience Coordinator will manage all day-to-day facility operations for assigned Unlock offices, ensure facility operations are optimized, safe, and create an environment that facilitates our values, and a high-performance culture.

What you'll do

  • Manage office operations; mail, janitorial, food & beverage, copy/print business supply, badging, security, parking, storage, and other amenities.  
  • Demonstrate efficient use of budget, tracking and reporting expenses, and vendor accountability.  
  • Update and maintain accurate records and official documentation for the site. 
  • Partner with various Unlock departments, building landlords/services, and stakeholders to ensure compliance, efficiency, and best practices within the workplace.  
  • Deploy basic principles of tracking, and managing the physical workplace. Ensuring layout, workflow, storage and aesthetics of spaces align with intended purpose, promoting efficiency and productivity.  
  • Manage all vendor relationships, monthly orders, deliveries, outgoing parcels/mail.
  • Partner with People Team and other cross functional teams across multiple time zones to develop relevant programs and initiatives. activities, and events to promote company objectives and create employee engagement.  
  • Ensure safety standards are upheld and lead safety initiatives across the organization, as needed. 
  • Proactively manage multiple detailed projects with competing priorities and the ability to handle stressful situations is essential.  

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of workplace programs, facilities, and/or site management experience for small to mid-size company, or relevant experience. 
  • Knowledgeable in facilities systems and operations; partnering with People Ops ensure systems are in working order and providing ideal atmosphere for employee and external guests. 
  • Ability to be on-site during normal business hours, and an understanding that the nature of this work might necessitate some after-hours engagement or emergency response. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams. 
  • A proven ability to be a self-starter capable of driving results without significant supervision. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously; ability to prioritize activities effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage an operating budget; analytical skills, financial management and reporting. 
  • Proficient with Google, Slack and Microsoft product suites, and other productivity software tools.
  • Strong and accurate analytical sense and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • PC skills including working knowledge of the Microsoft environment and the ability to access, manipulate, organize and relay information in a meaningful way.  
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with strong “team-player” orientation.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all. 
  • Help improve the efficiency of operations, from hand-on experience, by improving procedures, policies, and processes. 
  • Trustworthy and demonstrated ability to handle proprietary or classified information.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with Notion is preferred.
  • This position requires working in person at our Troy, MI office Monday - Friday.

Target base compensation is $75,000 annually. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
