We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in GCP solution architecture to join our engineering team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. By combining your technical skills with your understanding of e-commerce, CPG, or retail, you'll transform complex business needs into innovative, impactful solutions. What You’ll Do

  • Architect Scalable Cloud Solutions: Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end GCP-based architectures covering data, applications, infrastructure, and security.
  • Build Robust Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Airflow, DBT, and languages like Python and We’rSQL.
  • Optimize BigQuery Warehousing: Design schemas, tune queries, and manage costs while working with large, complex datasets.
  • Ensure Data Quality & Governance: Implement standards for data accuracy, consistency, and lineage tracking.
  • Drive Performance & Efficiency: Monitor and optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of cloud solutions.
  • Leverage Industry Knowledge: Apply your domain expertise to solve real-world retail, e-commerce, and supply chain challenges.
  • Maintain Security & Compliance: Build secure solutions aligned with privacy laws and industry best practices.
  • Lead & Mentor: Guide engineers, share best practices, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements and ensure solution success.
  • Document Clearly: Produce high-quality design docs, architecture diagrams, and best-practice guides.

 

What You Bring

  • 8+ years in IT, with 3+ in cloud architecture or GCP solutions
  • Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing (BigQuery)
  • Solid coding skills in SQL, Python (preferred), Java, or Scala
  • Familiarity with Airflow, DBT, and version control (e.g., Git)
  • Industry experience in e-commerce, retail, or CPG
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
