POSITION SUMMARY
The Content Marketing Associate will support the Marketing team by creating high-quality, engaging content that speaks to our community of maintenance and reliability professionals — and helps position UpKeep as the most trusted and cited source in the industry.
This individual will play a key role in executing our content strategy across multiple formats and channels — from blog posts and learning articles to customer stories, benchmarking guides, industry reports, and short-form video content. They’ll also help amplify UpKeep’s authority by repurposing insights from industry research, customer data, and community conversations into content that educates, inspires, and drives engagement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation & Curation
- Write, edit, and repurpose content for blogs, customer spotlights, learning center articles, benchmarking guides, industry reports, and other authority-building assets.
- Assist in developing campaign-specific content aligned with product launches, events, and community partnerships.
- Pull key takeaways from webinars, interviews, and reports to turn into high-performing short-form content.
- Repurpose data and insights from UpKeep’s State of Maintenance Report and other research into digestible articles, infographics, and social snippets that strengthen our industry authority.
Video Editing & Digital Content
- Edit and format short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Repurpose long-form videos into snackable clips for social and blog embeds.
- Create engaging text overlays, captions, and highlight reels for multi-channel distribution.
Community & Brand Support
- Capture and share customer stories that highlight their impact and expertise.
- Collaborate with marketing teammates to ensure all content aligns with brand voice and style guidelines.
- Contribute ideas for creative campaigns, community engagement, and new content formats.
Content Distribution & Publishing
- Format and publish content in our CMS and ensure it’s optimized for readability and search
- Distribute and adapt content across other owned channels (social media, email, community platforms)
- Help amplify reach through strategic sharing, backlink outreach, and community engagement
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in content marketing, writing, or digital marketing
KNOWLEDGE
- Strong writing and video editing skills with a solid sense for storytelling.
- Ability to create content across digital formats, including short-form video, blogs, and visual assets.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and trends, especially short-form video and basic editing tools (e.g., CapCut).
- Comfortable using CMS platforms and applying basic SEO best practices.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

COMPENSATION
This role will receive a competitive base salary + benefits + equity. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.
The base pay for this role is $22 - $25 per hour.
