About the Role
At UPSTACK, we’re building the future of technology advisory—bringing together elite experts and powerful digital tools to help clients transform how they source and manage IT solutions. As we continue to scale our expansion, we’re introducing a new leadership role: AVP, Advisory Services. This is a key hire who will build and lead a high-performance team focused on outbound growth and new customer acquisition.
This role is ideal for a sales-first leader who thrives on hunting, prospecting, and building markets from the ground up. You’ll oversee a regional team of Account Executives—supporting them in generating pipeline, closing deals, and expanding our footprint across enterprise and midmarket segments. Reporting directly to the SVP of Sales & Advisory Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our go-to-market strategy and scaling UPSTACK’s impact in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Strategy & Market Penetration
- Build and execute a go-to-market plan to drive new logo acquisition across your assigned region
- Identify high-potential markets and customer segments for outbound targeting
- Ensure every Account Executive is equipped to prospect, pitch, and close with confidence
Team Leadership & Sales Culture
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of 8–10 Account Executives, with plans to expand
- Foster a hunter mentality focused on outbound pipeline generation and consultative selling
- Develop scalable onboarding and training processes that ramp new hires quickly
Sales Execution & Deal Strategy
- Support your team through every phase of the sales cycle—from targeting and first meetings to deal strategy and negotiation
- Ensure pipeline hygiene, opportunity progression, and accurate forecasting via Salesforce
- Join key customer meetings as a senior sales leader, bringing executive presence and guidance
Revenue Accountability & Performance Management
- Own the regional revenue number and team performance metrics
- Conduct regular deal reviews, coaching sessions, and performance check-ins
- Implement clear KPIs and create development plans for team members
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing to drive regional campaigns and events that generate qualified leads
- Work closely with Advisory, Business Development, and Customer Success to ensure smooth transitions and long-term customer satisfaction
- Share feedback with Product and Enablement to ensure the team is equipped with the tools and support they need
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of sales leadership experience in B2B, with a track record of managing midmarket or enterprise sellers
- Experience in Telecommunications, IT, or SaaS sales strongly preferred
- Proven success building outbound sales motions and growing new territories
- Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to support team members throughout the sales cycle
- Excellent coaching, team-building, and talent development skills
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking rooted in data and customer outcomes
- Must be proficient in Salesforce and familiar with digital sales tools including Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Willingness to travel up to 40% to meet with your team and key prospects
Salary Range
Employees new to UPSTACK typically come in at the start of the pay range. UPSTACK focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure, which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, and job-related skills.
The salary range for this role is $175,000.00 to $200,000.00 annually plus participation in the variable incentive compensation plan.
