About the Role:

We're seeking a Chief of Staff for our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) division at Vercel. You'll partner with EPD leadership, driving product planning and metric reviews to ensure strategy connects to business outcomes. You'll also establish operational processes to maintain a high shipping velocity (multiple releases daily) and work with cross-functional teams to ensure decisions translate to concrete action. This role is critical to supporting Vercel’s rapid product innovation and growth.

This is a hybrid role based at our San Francisco headquarters.  The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite to effectively collaborate with our team at least 2 days a week. 

What You Will Do:

• Product Planning: Drive Product Planning cycle, draft product guidance, and coordinate team-level plans with CPO and CTO.
• Metric Reviews: Lead "Engineering Staples Reviews" analyzing product revenue, SLOs, support tickets, and incident rates.
• Operational Cadence: Establish structured EPD operations rhythm and leadership communication processes.
• Cross-functional Execution: Translate leadership decisions into initiatives, track progress, and resolve cross-team dependencies.
• Scale the Leadership Team: Find ways to provide leverage to EPD leaders by taking ownership of key focus areas or projects.

About You:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Professional Experience: 6+ years in tech, consulting, or related fields, ideally in high-growth companies.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $164,000.00 - $246,000.00. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
