What You'll Do:

  • Assist the VP Controller with all aspects of month-end close.
  • Own the Accounts Payable (AP) process and lead the AP team.
  • Perform and review key balance sheet reconciliations, especially bank accounts.
  • Review P&L activity and ensure timely and accurate monthly accruals.
  • Review general ledger activity, investigate and resolve reconciling items or discrepancies.
  • Manage inventory accounting and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Handle sales tax filings and work directly with our tax preparers.
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and working closely with audit teams.
  • Help document and improve accounting policies, systems, and internal controls.
  • Drive timeliness and accuracy of financial data in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Work cross-functionally to improve data flow and reporting accuracy.
  • Help implement and optimize ERP tools and automation platforms (we use Sage Intacct).

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA.
  • 3+ years of senior-level accounting experience, including experience in managing a team.
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP.
  • Expert in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Comfortable analyzing large data sets with precision and speed.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Self-starter who anticipates needs and drives tasks to completion.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to solve complex problems creatively.
  • Experience with major ERPs (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, etc.) and a tech-forward mindset.
