Overview

We are seeking a mid-senior level Director of Corporate Marketing to own the content and programming for our annual customer conference, VerkadaOne, as well as the follow-on “VerkadaOne On the Road” events in various cities throughout the year.

VerkadaOne is our most important brand activation as well as a critical lever when it comes to driving pipeline for our business. Our most recent VerkadaOne, held this past September in Denver, CO, was attended by ~1200 prospects, customers, and partners and featured over 30 breakout sessions, industry training and certifications, high-profile keynote speakers, product announcements, and more. We are looking to grow this even further in the coming year and aim for it to one day be the Oktane or Dreamforce of the physical security industry. In order to take VerkadaOne to the next level, we are looking for a corporate marketer experienced in project management, content creation, and demand generation. While logistics for the event are already managed by another team member, this role will focus on the end-to-end coordination of all content and experience-related functions. This role reports directly to the VP of Product Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Project Manage Event Workflows: Oversee all workflows associated with VerkadaOne, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams and a high standard for event execution.
  • Drive Registrations: Drive the demand generation strategy across sales, marketing, and partner channels to ensure ticket goals are met
  • Develop Website Content: Develop content for the event website, including aligning with executives on the annual theme and working with the design team to create the associated core website content and copy
  • Build Agenda & Programming: Design the event agenda, manage schedules, and coordinate activities, ensuring all components align with Verkada’s goals.
  • Manage Brand Activations & Demos: Project manage the design of the main Verkada product booth, which contains multiple stations with live demos as well as other activations
  • Develop Content Tracks and Breakout Sessions: Work with internal teams across product, engineering, and marketing to determine content tracks and specific session topics that would engage diverse attendee groups; project manage the creation of content by internal speakers; source customer speakers and manage the logistics to bring them on site
  • Source Keynote Speakers: Work with the communications team to source, coordinate, and manage high-profile keynote speakers to create a memorable and engaging experience.
  • Source Sponsors & Manage Logistics: Source sponsors from within the physical security industry as well as identify industry trainings that could be relevant to our audience; manage the logistics of bringing these on site
  • Execute Regional Event Strategy: Leverage VerkadaOne content to create regionalized “VerkadaOne On the Road” events, extending the impact of our annual conference throughout the year.

Requirements

  • 10-12+ years of experience in event management, ideally within B2B technology or SaaS environments.
  • Proven expertise in content development, agenda planning, and executing large-scale events with strong attendee engagement.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple events, work cross-functionally, and manage budgeting and demand generation activities.
  • Ability to write clear, compelling copy for websites, brochures, and other marketing materials - strong writing skills are a must-have
  • Ability to work onsite in San Mateo, CA, five days a week, with flexibility to travel as needed for regional events.
  • Previous experience in product marketing a strong plus
  • Self-starter mentality with hands-on experience in managing logistics and event execution.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
