About the Role
What you’ll do:
As a Packaging Program Manager on Verkada’s Industrial Design Team, you’ll guide packaging programs from early stage development and into mass production, ensuring projects stay on schedule, meet cost targets, and uphold our quality standards. You’ll collaborate with Industrial Design, Visual Design, Hardware, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Program Management teams to align milestones, track vendor progress, and manage testing, tooling, and production readiness. You’ll oversee sample production, ISTA testing, on-site press checks, and sample reviews to validate quality and accuracy. Beyond execution, you’ll drive process improvements that enhance program and team efficiency. Your work will bring Verkada’s packaging vision to life—delivering premium, scalable solutions that protect our products and elevate the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage packaging programs from start through MP, overseeing builds, testing, and logistics to ensure on-time, high-quality execution across vendors.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Industrial Design, Visual Design, Hardware, Program Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain) to align milestones and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Plan and validate ISTA testing with vendors to ensure compliance and durability.
- Manage tooling schedules and sampling with packaging vendors.
- Ensure smooth communication and relationships between packaging vendors and JDM partners to keep schedules on track and facilitate collaborative processes.
- Conduct regular reviews with vendors on schedule, open items, risks, and ownership.
- Summarize project updates and prepare internal presentations.
- Identify process improvements and develop implementation action plans.
- Represent the greater Hardware Team during vendor visits and QA audits, guiding vendors to meet Verkada standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing packaging programs and coordinating with manufacturing vendors and suppliers.
- Strong project management skills to work directly with packaging vendors and JDM/OEM partners in navigating schedules for a range of packaging projects.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with packaging build phases (EVT/DVT/PVT/MP) and ISTA testing processes.
- Experience in business-to-business (B2B), especially in hardware electronics industry
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Ability to multitask and handle tight schedules under minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in Project or Program Management, Packaging Engineering, Packaging Design, or related field.
- Proficiency with project management tools for scheduling, deliverable tracking, and reporting.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and effective at collaborating across global teams in both the US (PST) and SE Asia time zones.
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements that drive efficiency, meet deadlines, and reduce costs.
- Deep understanding of packaging manufacturing methods, materials, and sustainability practices, including molded fiber, corrugate, and printing techniques.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% for vendor visits.
Nice to Have
- Startup experience with a quick-to-market mindset.
- Experience in B2B product trials, refurbishment procedures, or similar commercial workflows.
- Existing relationships with major South East Asia packaging vendors.

Annual Pay Range
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$1,800,000 - $2,870,000 TWD
