ABOUT THE ROLE

We seek an experienced Data Engineering Manager with expertise in collaborating on problems, asking questions, delivering feedback, and supporting others in their goals, whether in your vicinity or entire cities apart. The ideal candidate will have industry experience working on various technical challenges related to delivering modern Data Engineering solutions at scale in a cloud-native environment.



ABOUT THE TEAM


You will be the manager of our Data Platform team, responsible for leading a group of talented Data Engineers with the main goal of building, managing, improving, and scaling VTEX's Data Platform. The team is all about delivering accessible data and tools at scale to power decision-making, AI/ML endeavors, and insightful analytics at VTEX, for both internal and external stakeholders.


WHO YOU ARE


    

  • Solid experience leading Data Engineering teams, ideally focused on data platform or data infrastructure
    • 

  • Exposure to large-scale and distributed data environments and with highly available systems;
    • 

  • Experience being accountable for people management, having exposure to performance assessment, hiring, and supporting career growth.
    • 

  • Experience leading agile teams, being familiar with the most relevant ceremonies, metrics and processes
    • 

  • An exceptional level of technical understanding, being able to take part in architecture discussions with Data Engineers and to translate complex, technical projects and concepts for non-engineers
    • 

  • Advanced English, you will be part of and supporting a global team.
    • 

  • Previous experience with Data architecture delivered with Infrastructure as code in cloud environment
    •
