Engineering Manager, Omnichannel Experiences
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Engineering Manager for Omnichannel Experiences, you will lead one of VTEX’s most strategic initiatives, shaping how B2B and omnichannel commerce experiences are built, scaled, and evolved across digital and physical channels.
This role sits at the intersection of B2B Sales Experience, supporting critical use cases such as order entry, quotations, and complex B2B buying journeys. You will guide a growing engineering team through a phase of high impact and transformation, as VTEX designs and prepares the foundation for a new generation of AI-driven, agentic commerce experiences planned to start development in 2026.
With high visibility across the organization, you will work on cross-organizational initiatives, closely with senior stakeholders and leadership, helping define technical direction, ensuring system resilience, and fostering the growth of a team with strong potential.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead and mentor an engineering team focused on Omnichannel and B2B Sales Experiences, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Drive the technical evolution of B2B order entry and quotation experiences, preparing systems for AI-powered, agentic workflows that support buyers and sales representatives throughout complex purchasing journeys.
- Partner closely with Product Management and Design during discovery and design phases, shaping solutions that will be developed and scaled.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and resilience of systems that support critical omnichannel operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales App, platform teams, and external partners to enable seamless integrations with global ecosystems and marketplaces.
- Represent the Omnichannel Experiences domain in broader engineering and leadership discussions, contributing to VTEX’s long-term technical vision.
WHO YOU ARE
- An experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in backend engineering and system architecture, ideally combined with fullstack experience.
- Proven experience leading teams through platform evolution, modernization, or preparation for large-scale growth in complex, high-availability environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable interacting with senior leaders and C-level executives, and navigating cross-team dependencies.
- A people-focused leader with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers.
- Comfortable operating in highly collaborative, ecosystem-driven environments involving partners, integrations, and global stakeholders.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You are hands-on and curious about AI, using LLMs, automation, and design/dev tools to boost speed, quality, and clarity in your workflow, while staying thoughtful about their limitations, safety, and responsible use.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with AWS, infrastructure, and resilience-focused architectures.
- Experience working with B2B commerce, PDV, or omnichannel platforms.
- Spanish proficiency (part of the team is based in Colombia).
