ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Staff Technical Product Manager passionate about Security, Identity, and building foundational products that shape how millions of users, merchants, services, and AI agents securely interact with the VTEX platform.
As a Staff PM in Identity & Shield, you'll own the vision and execution of mission-critical initiatives that ensure trust, compliance, and secure autonomy across our ecosystem. You'll help reinvent how access, authorization, and protection work in a world where AI agents increasingly act on behalf of humans and businesses.
This is one of the most strategic roles in the company. You'll drive core platform capabilities used by every product area, while evolving Shield — one of VTEX's top-selling add-ons — to meet the needs of global enterprises and highly regulated industries.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Define VTEX's long-term Identity strategy, aligned with our mission to be the most secure AI-Native commerce platform.
  • Lead the redesign of VTEX's Access Management Module into an agentic, automated, low-friction experience that reduces operational burden and mitigates credential misuse.
  • Partner deeply with engineering to design the guardrails, policies, and control layers that keep AI agents operating within safe, compliant, and auditable boundaries.
  • Own the roadmap and evolution of VTEX Shield, expanding its value proposition for enterprise customers and regulated industries.
  • Translate complex security needs (CISO-level requirements, compliance frameworks, SOC controls, auditability) into actionable product requirements.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services to grow Shield's ACV, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
  • Benchmark leading enterprise security solutions to position Shield competitively on a global stage.
  • Build platform-wide primitives that let product teams easily integrate identity, permissions, and agent governance into their workflows.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Strong PM background working with complex, technical products.
  • You ramp up fast on technical domains. You don't need to be an expert on day one, but you're comfortable going deep with engineers and picking up new concepts quickly.
  • Experience with demanding customers — enterprise, global brands, or heavily regulated industries.
  • You connect deeply technical concepts to clear business outcomes, and communicate strategy and trade-offs to engineers, leadership, and customers alike.
  • You thrive in complex environments where multiple teams depend on your product to build and scale safely.
  • Comfortable with data: logs, monitoring, dashboards, and product metrics that inform risk and prioritization decisions.
  • Genuinely curious and critical about the role of AI and LLMs in the future of commerce and security.
  • Fluent in English.
