ABOUT THE ROLE

Billing is evolving into VTEX’s system of record for charging, decoupled from a single consumption source and capable of supporting multiple revenue streams with accuracy, transparency, and auditability. 

We are looking for a Product Manager to own and evolve our Billing platform — driving architectural transformation, improving financial reliability, enabling new pricing models, and ensuring scalability as VTEX expands. 

This role sits at the intersection of Engineering, Finance, FinOps, Identity, Traffic, SAP integration, and vertical product teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Drive the evolution of Billing into a multi-source charging platform (beyond orders)
  • Improve traceability, auditability, and charging transparency
  • Enable more flexible pricing models (e.g., credit-based, non-core revenue streams)
  • Lead the full migration from MasterData v2 to Aurora, ensuring reliability, reporting accuracy, and finance-grade data integrity
  • Manage migration risk across Finance operations and reporting
  • Align engineering execution with architectural long-term strategy
  • Reduce manual charge calculations (e.g., custom software, rebates, apps, Ads, Indeva) 
  • Improve invoice quality and reduce cancellation rates
  • Partner with Finance to address omnichannel tagging inconsistencies 
  • Drive CostOps implementation and establish cost-per-order visibility 
  • Support cost-saving initiatives such as account blocking mechanisms (Hydra initiative) 
  • Explore and validate AI applications in billing calculations and flexible manifests 
  • Quantify financial impact of adaptive charging logic
  • Define product strategy for AI-enabled pricing and non-core revenue billing

WHO YOU ARE

  • Previous background as a Product Management in technical platforms or financial systems
  • Experience working with backend-heavy, integration-driven systems
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform product strategies and measure success
  • Strong data fluency and comfort working with financial metrics
  • Ability to influence and align stakeholders across different teams and levels of the organization
  • Fluent in english

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with billing, invoicing, ERP (SAP), or revenue systems
  • Experience with data migrations or system-of-record transformations
