Senior Software Engineer, Design Systems

As our Senior Software Engineer on the Design System you will be leading the engineering efforts of designing, developing, and integrating Terra, the design system of the VTS Platform, into VTS’ various products. You will take a lead role in advancing VTS’ front-end craft, recommending initiatives, and evangelizing state-of-the-art practices, techniques, and tools. Every day you will collaborate closely with the designers and with the wider engineering, product, and QA organization to ensure consistency within the front ends of our products and efficiency in their continued development.

To thrive in this role you must have several years of experience delivering high-quality software with in a single-page application React stack. Experience building design systems, as well as working with React Native mobile applications is highly desirable. You are a practitioner of an agile software process, can work autonomously and in a self-directed manner with the support of the larger team, and have strong values towards good testing practices. You are able to translate technical and design concepts when communicating with designers and fellow engineers. You enjoy collaborating with other engineers for code reviews, pair programming, and software design, and have experience architecting solutions to problems in a thoughtful way.
