Engineering Manager
To thrive in this role, you must have a strong technical background and a proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining web applications and services. Your experience allows you to dive into technical problems and coach, challenge and lead as needed. You engage in discussions around technical strategy, adeptly manage technical tradeoffs and risks, and ensure alignment with product and business goals. You have a proven ability to recruit and develop talent, further strengthening the team’s capabilities. You have a sense of empathy for the customer and a focus on quality. Effective communication skills are paramount, empowering you to effectively convey ideas, coach, mentor, and educate others.

- Jointly own the teams’ execution and delivery of the product roadmap in partnership with the Product Manager
- Work with leadership to identify strategic technology investments required to support business objectives, and ensure those projects are properly prioritized and delivered.
- Partner with our recruiting team to source, recruit and onboard talent to VTS.
- Coach and mentor individual team members, creating a structured environment and feedback loop that supports career development and high engagement.
- Collaborate on cross-functional teams that include product managers, designers, as well as QA
- Applications that deploy multiple times a day and rely heavily on automated testing and CI
- A modern tech stack that includes Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, Postgres, Kafka, Python, AWS services, terraform as well as a data platform build around Snowflake, dbt, Spark, Python and modern data pipelines
