Director, Lease Administration Solutions

New York, New York, United States

As we continue to deploy our next generation of AI-driven lease management tools, we recognize that technology alone cannot replace deep domain expertise.

We are seeking a Director of Lease Administration Solutions to join our Solutions team. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between commercial real estate complexity and software capability. You will serve as the Executive Authority who ensures our clients understand exactly how our data models work, setting clear expectations on accuracy, auditability, and process.

Simultaneously, you will serve as the primary strategic lead for our abstraction workflows, ensuring our Product teams build tools that respect the nuance of complex leases rather than oversimplifying them.

** Please note that this opportunity is located in New York, NY, and requires this hire to work from our office 4 days a week. **

What you can expect as a Director of Lease Administration Solutions:

Strategic Client Advisory

  • Executive Technical Authority: Partner with the Solutions Engineering team during engagements with enterprise clients (Global REITs, Funds) to validate our abstraction methodology. You act as the strategic validator in the room who assures the client’s Head of Asset Management that their data is safe and accurate.
  • Expectation Management: Define and articulate the project scope for lease data onboarding. You will clearly explain to buyers what the AI handles automatically versus where human review is required, establishing trust through transparency.

Product Logic & Data Governance

  • Business Logic Design: Act as the translator between Legal/Leasing requirements and Engineering. You will define the functional requirements the software needs to capture (e.g., conditional dependencies between clauses), creating the specifications that the engineering team implements.
  • Hybrid Workflow Strategy: Champion a workflow where AI handles standard data and human experts handle edge cases. You will define the protocols for when the system should flag a clause for human review rather than estimating, ensuring high data fidelity.

Operational Standards & Delivery

    • Quality Benchmarks: Define the abstraction protocols that govern the platform. You will create the internal standards that determine how non-standard clauses—such as complex ROFOs or vaguely defined Commencement Dates—are standardized in the database.
    • Feedback Loop: Channel insights from client discussions directly back to Product Management. If clients require a specific data field that is not currently captured, you are the voice that ensures it is prioritized on the roadmap.

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Elite Domain Expertise: 8-10+ years in Lease Administration, Real Estate Legal Operations, or Portfolio Data Management. You have extensive experience managing complex documentation, from handwritten amendments to lengthy manuscript leases.
  • Structural Thinking: Demonstrated ability to break down complex legal provisions into logical workflows. You must be comfortable translating lease language into structured requirements and conditional logic for technical teams.
  • Communication Style: You are an educator at heart. You can explain technical lease concepts (like Net Effective Rent versus Face Rent) to software engineers, and explain data confidence intervals to Property Managers.
  • Realistic Innovation: You are excited about AI, but you remain pragmatic. You understand that high accuracy is critical for financial reporting, and you know how to build the necessary safety nets to ensure data integrity.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
