The role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our cross-functional team focused on building and evolving internal tooling and platforms that enable and streamline AI workflows. In this role, you will collaborate closely with model developers, robotics engineers, and operations teams to design and deliver robust solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across the organization.
As a senior developer on this team, you will own and continuously enhance our frontend platform, develop reusable microfrontend components, and create tooling to ingest, test, and validate AI models. Your work will directly impact the productivity of multiple teams by providing seamless, scalable, and user-friendly interfaces and backend integrations.
Key responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain the internal frontend platform to support AI workflow applications.
- Develop and maintain tooling for AI model ingestion, testing, and validation to ensure quality and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement in code quality, system scalability, and performance.
- Work effectively within a cross-functional environment to align technical decisions with business needs.
About you
In order to set you up for success as a Senior software engineer at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience.
Essential
- Good development skills in JavaScript, with knowledge in TypeScript
- Experience with React (or similar front-end frameworks)
- Experience with Python
- Previous experience building fullstack applications (backend + frontend)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software testing methodologies.
- Passionate about writing clean, robust and maintainable code
Desirable
- Prior experience working in AI/ML or robotics domains.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
This is a full-time role based in our office in Sunnyvale.
